Our professional BTEC level 5 diploma is designed for anyone with a serious interest in pursuing sport and remedial massage therapy as a career. It takes approximately 11 months to complete the course, during which time you will attend classes and undertake significant home study and hands on practice.
Our sport & remedial massage diploma is a highly respected qualification and can be a demanding course that requires at least a basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology. If you don't have any experience, we highly recommend taking the NLSSM two-day sports massage introductory course and the online Anatomy and Physiology course (coming soon in the summer) which brings together all the relevant information that you will need in your practice as a sports massage therapist.
Classes are held approximately every 2 weeks, to allow enough time for home practice and course work. Course work includes 4 papers; an extensive case history; and 100 logbook hours before the final exam can be taken. For further information about the course content please see the Syllabus section.
